Why choose a heat pump?

Lower bills, lower carbon, longer lifespan than a boiler.

Lower Running Costs

Heat pumps are 300% efficient — for every 1kW of electricity, you get 3kW of heat. Typical savings of £500–£1,300/year vs gas, oil, or LPG.

£7,500 Grant Available

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme covers £7,500 of your installation cost. We handle the entire application — you just get the confirmation email.

20+ Year Lifespan

Heat pumps last over 20 years — nearly double a gas boiler. Less maintenance, no annual gas safety checks, fewer breakdowns.

Zero Carbon Heating

Heat pumps produce no on-site emissions. Pair with solar panels for virtually free, zero-carbon heating.

Future-Proof

The gas boiler ban on new builds starts 2025. Heat pumps are the future of home heating — get ahead of the curve.

0% VAT

Heat pump installations are VAT-free until 2027. That's a saving of up to £2,000 on a typical installation.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the most common heat pump questions.

Is a detached house suitable for a heat pump?
Detached houses are one of the best property types for heat pumps. You typically have plenty of outdoor space for the unit, good access for installation, and no shared walls to worry about for noise. The larger heating demand of a detached house is easily met by correctly sizing the heat pump during the design stage.
How much can I save with a heat pump in a detached house?
Detached house owners switching from gas typically save £600–£900 per year on heating bills. If you're currently on oil or LPG, savings can be even higher — often £900–£1,300 per year. These figures account for the higher efficiency of heat pumps, which deliver around 3kW of heat for every 1kW of electricity used.
Will I need to upgrade my radiators in a detached house?
Not necessarily. Heat pumps run at lower flow temperatures than gas boilers, so some radiators may need upsizing to deliver the same heat output. We assess every radiator during the free home survey and only recommend changes where needed. Many detached homes — particularly those with newer or oversized radiators — need no changes at all.
Where does the heat pump unit go on a detached property?
The outdoor unit is typically placed at the side or rear of the property, on a concrete base. Detached houses usually offer the most flexibility for positioning because there's space on all sides. We follow permitted development rules and ensure the unit is at least 1 metre from any property boundary.
