How we choose the right heat pump for you

We don't push one brand. We assess your property, heating needs, and budget, then recommend the best fit. Every system we install is MCS-certified and qualifies for the £7,500 government grant.

Our process starts with a detailed heat loss survey of your home. We calculate exactly what output you need, check your radiators, assess your hot water requirements, and factor in your budget. Only then do we recommend a brand and model.

Because we install all major brands, we have no reason to upsell you on a premium unit when a mid-range option does the job. You get honest advice backed by 10+ years of installation experience.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about choosing the best heat pump.

What is the best heat pump brand?
There is no single "best" brand — it depends on your property, budget, and heating needs. Daikin leads on build quality and low noise, Grant is proven and reliable with excellent UK support, and Samsung offers strong performance at a lower price point. We assess your home and recommend the best fit.
How much do heat pumps cost by brand?
A fully installed air source heat pump costs £8,000–£16,000 before the grant, depending on brand and system size. After the £7,500 BUS grant and with 0% VAT, most homeowners pay from £1,499. Premium brands like Daikin sit at the higher end, while Samsung and LG offer excellent value at a lower price.
Do you install all heat pump brands?
Yes. We are not tied to any single manufacturer. We install Daikin, Vaillant, Grant, Samsung, Mitsubishi, LG, and Panasonic. We recommend the brand that best suits your property and budget — not the one that gives us the biggest margin.
Which heat pump brand is the quietest?
Daikin Altherma 3 is the quietest at around 35dB — quieter than a library. However, all modern heat pumps operate below 45dB, which is about the same as a fridge. Planning rules require units to be no louder than 42dB at the nearest property boundary. Noise is rarely an issue with any brand.
